In an increasingly competitive and complex marketplace,
one of the most pressing problems is how to offer customers a full range
of services in an efficient and profitable manner. Essex Corporation,
America's largest provider of investment services to financial
institutions, has developed a simple, profitable and successful way for
institutions to serve their customers -- Investors Marketplace.
By offering a complete package of investment and
insurance products, Investors Marketplace is designed to provide
institutions with all of the investment services of Wall Street --
designed for the Bank Marketplace! Staffed with professional sales
representatives, state-of-the-art technology, custom-designed marketing
and sales support, and regional sales management, the program offers the
opportunity to offer customers many services not available from
competitors. In addition, Investors Marketplace offers management
information that keeps banks in control of the process and their
customers.
Product Selection
Investors Marketplace offers products from some of the
largest and most highly respected insurance and mutual fund companies in
the industry. They include John Hancock, AIG, Allstate, Putnam, AIM,
Oppenheimer, Hartford, Fidelity and MFS. From these partners, there is a
choice of fixed and variable annuities, mutual funds and life insurance
products. All of these product providers have been subjected to rigorous
due diligence and work closely with Essex to assure our bank clients
quality service and support.
Sales Representative Recruitment
Essex Corporation will implement a recruitment plan
customized to a bank's needs. In conjunction with an Essex Regional
Sales Manager and selected recruiting agencies, Essex will identify
highly qualified registered area representatives. With the bank's input
and approval, Essex will recruit investment professionals for a bank's
Investors Marketplace program to ensure that the bank has people who
meet the needs of its customers and bank culture.
Management and Reporting
To ensure that the investment professional at your bank
has the management and sales support needed to be successful, Essex
Corporation has put in place a centralized sales desk at Essex National
Securities. This sales desk is staffed by licensed professionals with
between five and ten years of experience in security sales and sales
management. This entity will act as the link for your representatives to
the vast marketing and sales support resources at Essex.
Also, there will be a regional sales manager assigned to
the bank who will act as the bank's relationship manager. This person
will make available to bank management a complete range of reports for
sales, operations, referrals, commissions due and customer demographics
that the bank or its regulators will require. This manager is the link a
bank needs to make its Investors Marketplace program effective.
Broker/Dealer and Insurance Agency
In order to process your investment business, Essex
created Essex National Securities Inc. ("ENSI"), member NASD-SIPC.
Through ENSI, investment representatives for the bank's program can
offer mutual funds, variable annuities, stocks, bonds, UITs and variable
annuity transactions.
Since fixed annuities and other insurance products are
such an important part of a bank's investment program, Essex created
Essex National Insurance Agency ("ENIA"). The bank's investment
representatives will have access to some of the highest quality
insurance products available today.
Also, with Investors Marketplace, the bank and its
investment representatives will have access to EASIS, the Essex Advanced
Clearing Securities and Insurance System. This is a state-of-the-art
single-entry back office system designed to process and report
securities and annuities on a consolidated basis. From this system,
banks will have available various management reports for sales,
operations, referrals commissions due and source of funds.
In addition, Investors Marketplace customers will
receive a consolidated brokerage account statement. Our statements
include all the investments purchased at a bank's Investors Marketplace
program. This would include security as well as insurance products,
which is a very unique and competitive feature in today's marketplace.
Compliance
Essex Corporation has an extensive compliance and
registered representative supervision program. Since all of the
transactions for the Investors Marketplace program will be entered by
the Essex Central Back Office (CBO) and through the EASIS system, our
ability to monitor the transaction is simplified. Essex will also hold
on-site compliance reviews on an annual basis. The EASIS system also
provides the information needed to meet the compliance requirements of
both bank and securities regulators. Through the CBO, Essex can maintain
the regulatory supervision required by the regulators.
Revenue Sharing
Investors Marketplace was designed as a simple, turnkey
program. Seventy to eighty percent of all revenue goes into the program.
From that revenue stream; the representatives' base salary, benefits and
commissions are paid. The remainder of the revenue goes directly to your
bank and bottom line. |
