AIB Self Study

AIB Self Study offers you a flexible alternative to the traditional AIB course schedule. You may start a course whenever it is convenient for you and work at your own pace as long as you complete the work within a six month timeframe. Upon enrolling, you will be assigned an Advisor, who will be available by fax or email to answer your questions.  You will receive a list of readings and exercises that must be completed and returned for grading.  You will be required to take a mid-term and final exam proctored by a bank supervisor.

NYBA currently offers these courses as a Self Study option:

Registration
Complete a
Self Study enrollment form and fax it to the NYBA office.  Upon receipt, we will send you a textbook and course materials. You may start the course as soon as you receive your materials.  The tuition is $295 members; $375 non-members per course plus the cost of the textbook.

Assignments and Exams/Grading
Mid-term and final exams should be taken in your bank and proctored by your immediate supervisor or other approved individual. Completed assignments and exams should be mailed to the address provided in your instructions.

You will receive your course materials within 20 days of the receipt of your enrollment form.

If needed, one three-month extension may be requested after you are five months into the course.  The request must be submitted in writing (or by email); a $50 extension fee will be charged.

You will receive a completion letter reporting your final grade no later than 14 days after the instructor has submitted your final grade information.
