These recommendations apply to current
sessions of these courses and are retroactive to the fall of 1999. These
recommendations do not guarantee you college credit. The final decision
is up to each college or University. The ACE
website lists the Colleges and Universities that have agreed to
accept the credit recommendations when appropriate.
You need to check directly with the College or University where you want
to enroll to obtain information about their current policy.
ACE/CREDIT Transcript
Service
For the benefit of AIB students, the ABA participates in the American Council on
Education's (ACE) Transcript Service. The ACE Transcript Service offers
a lifelong record for students who have successfully completed AIB courses that have been reviewed by ACE CREDIT. This service enables
adult learners to present a nationally recognized transcript to the
college or university of their choice for the potential award of
academic credit. For more information, visit the ACE
CREDIT Transcript Service website.
If you are interested in the ACE transcript service to apply for college
credit, you will need to register with ACE at https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts/register
(if you haven't already registered with them).
Then, once you have successfully completed the course, you can register
the course at the site above and it will be added to your transcript. To
register this course at the ACE site, please type American Bankers
Association in the field "Organization Name". This will
pull all of the AIB courses and you can then select your course title.
ACE will notify you by email when your official ACE Transcript is
updated and available to you. ACE's email will prompt you to visit their
online
transcript site to activate, view, and order a transcript to go
to the destination of your choice.
There is no cost for using this registration site. Throughout the
registration process, you will be notified by e-mail whenever one of
your requests has been approved or denied. When all your requests have
been resolved and you've received approval(s), you will be notified
again by e-mail and given a link to the ACE Online Transcript System.
Using the Online Transcript System, you can once again view your
complete file, change your address if necessary, and then order your
first ACE Transcript. At that time, you will need to pay the one-time
fee of $40 to activate your ACE Transcript account. The $40 fee includes
your first transcript.
