Database Administrator
JOB SUMMARY
The Database Administrator is responsible for serving as the Association's iMIS expert, and regularly liaises with third party vendors to ensure needed functionality, reporting and processes are in place to support the New York Bankers Association (NYBA) business function. The Database Administrator will interact with staff at all levels and must have the interpersonal skills required to effectively understand business needs and translate those to technical delivery in a timely manner to staff.
NYBA is currently undergoing an upgrade from iMIS desktop to the cloud-based iMIS EMS, and the iMIS Database Administrator will be part of a team working with consultants and staff to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the database supports our organizational structure including collection of data.
- Analyze database issues and develop solutions.
- Identifies areas of needed improvement and works with appropriate staff to implement changes.
- Oversee data integrity, including compliance with applicable data privacy requirements.
- Works with staff to develop ways to increase collection of member demographic information and with the marketing team to leverage data for segmenting and analysis.
- Develops and manages all database SOPs (i.e., data entry, IQAs, automation module, etc.).
- Set-up and manage online conference registration.
- Lead on-site registration at trainings & events.
- Conducts training to ensure staff know how to use the database for reports, rosters, marketing and other basic operations.
- Serves as troubleshooter for staff as needed.
- Run billing membership renewals.
- Process manual credit card charges and refunds (serve as back up)
- Month Close process in iMIS (serve as back up)
- Enter and approve ACH transactions (serve as back up)
- A/R batch processing (serve as back up)
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BS or BA degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience managing and improving iMIS databases.

SALARY
Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 annually. Salary offerings will ultimately depend on prior experience, education and other qualifications.
